#31 Victor Frankl's Words of wisdom
I believe that Frankl's words are about reacting and responding to the pain, injustice and need as a human being. Being able to over come an obstacle in life by being more positive is going to make you be more successful. A statement in the book that i thought was true was that the word love is overused but the action of it is underused. This statement is very powerfull because it shows that you may say you love someone but if you don't show it then it means nothing. A factor to living a healthy life is to don't let the little things get you down always try to find a positive in everything.
#30 Coach Carroll
Coach Carroll, he is a very tough coach and demands alot from his players. if his players do not meet his demands they will have to run or suffer the consequences. this coaching style makes his players give him alot of respect. They also do not act up and are better in acedemics since he has been coaching. I think coach Carroll is a good role model for all coaches to base themselves after because it shows that he cares about each and everyone of his athletes. And not only in the sports he coaches but how his athletes succeed in life.
#29 Last Lecture
Throughout the Lecture he does not dwell on the sad ending but he talks about how he lived life to the fulliest even knowing that he was termanially ill from cancer. Sharing with others that its better to always think positive and have fun in life. His lecture was very inspiring by the courage he had and the love he shared with others. I am going to take what he told in his lecture with me in the future.

#36 Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela is a man that went through alot of brutal beating inorder to stick up for his people( the blacks). Nelson Mandela was the leader for the Black community in South Africa. He stood up for what he believed in and fought to try and have the Black and White of South Africa who he was later put into jail and nearly beaten to death. When he was released from prison after a 27 years sentence. He came out of jail and for gave the government for putting him in jail and was later a very powerful black leader. He help to break apart the apartheid in South Afrcia. He went to every South Afrcian and the Blacks and supported both teams and treated both races with equivalincy. He was a very good and strong an for sticking up for what he believed in and treating all people as an equal. If people now a days were not power hunger and look down to other cultures. If we dd this thier would not be fighting overseas in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.
#34 End of Me to We
I think that the annomous ending is a great way to finish this book just because these people in Africa who we are trying to help live there life in total annoymously. No one knows what is happening to them until one brave man or women come forward and tell people how they were or are being treated still. I think what Craig Kilburger is an amazing man what he has done to help the world. From when he was 12 years old he was helping people what can you do to help the world?
#34 Mr Williams
Mr Williams is the type of guy that would give every penny he had away to help some one else live a better life. My Mr Williams is my cousin she always help out her friends in anyway. Weather it is giving people rides to lending them money. She is always there to lend a helping hand. My cousin is my Mr Williams.
#32 Run for a Cure
This girl named Lindsay was watching her mother die of breast of cancer. She was eleven years old and was doing laundry dishes and cleaning. Her dad was working 2 jobs to pay for the medical bills. Here mom was in chimo and she was watching her hair fall out and come home form school and her mother puking in a bucket. But one day she came home and her mother was normal no throwing up or hair loss she had beaten cancer. Everything was just starting to go well again then her mom came down with a different type of cancer overis cancer and she had a tumor the size of her fist that she needed removed. At 12 year old this little girl watch her mother battle through cancer but soon enough she was no match for the cancer and it took her mother from her. Now she goes in the Breast Cancer Run for Cure.
#33 Minga
There is really only one time when we had a minga is when we were up at my cottage and we just got a big storm and one of the neighbours docks had broken loose so we have three cottages on the lake so we all went out in our boats and the neighbour took out his boat to and we went looking for this dock we finally found the dock probably 1000 metre from where it was suppose to be. So we hooked up ropes to the loops and we went and drag the dock back to the shore were there were my uncle and his buddy waiting there with a new bolt and we had to actually jump out of the boat and there were probabbly 12 of us pushing this 25 foot dock in to line up the bolts. That is really my only minga expericence.
#32 Run for a cure

She later lost her battle but she helped raise awarness for breat cancer. Now still every year run for a cure walks are held all acrossed Canada to help raise money and awarness of breast cancer.

#28 A lesson from Joe Opatowski's life and death
I think it is great to see someone’s life be changed by the Me to We philosophy. A lesson that I have learned from Joe’s life and death is how to find happiness without looking at what we want to achieve within ourselves. Without goals your life will be more stressful and not organized because when you have goals it allows you to have direction and options. Before setting goals you have to believe in yourself and who you want to be as a person. Take chances and have fun with the choices you make. No matter what happens in life if it’s boring or fun, happy or sad don’t take any of it for granted. Live life to the fullest and when you do something amazing like help others enjoy it and in braise that happiness you feel inside. Capture the moment!
#27 Oprah's Story
I don't really watch Oprah so I guess I'm her biggest fan but I do know that she does a lot of good in the world and has made many peoples lives much better. She has definitely gained my respect from this. She is not one of those celebrities that wants the fame for themselves and doesn't plan to do any good with it. I do think that her big heart has helped her success rate. People look up to her as a role model and rightfully so. She has done a lot of good with her life and gained a lot of positive attention. This shows that her philosophy is right. You get back in life what you give out. She has made peoples live much better and helped them become more successful in different ways and in return she has become richer than I ever want to be. She is one celebrity that I think deserves the success she has received. This is because she cares about everyone and gives to so many causes and makes people aware of all of them too. Her show is one of the better talk shows I would say from the few episodes I’ve watched.
#26 The Car Experiment
The car experiment showed the difference between a united community and a disoriented community. You can compare it to thamesford and London. If something like this happened in Thamesford, somebody would be more likely to care about the car but in London city life, nobody has time to care about an abandoned car. They have their own lives to worry about. At IDCI, I think if we all shared a common sense of pride for our school it would be a much nicer place to be at. Our school isn't horrible compared to some schools but lets face it, in our school most people don't give a crap about what goes on and they just want to get out of here. If we all found a common good thing about our school, we would be able to care about it more and help out. People in the school would be treated better but also physically the school wouldn't get as beat up as it does.
#25 what can IDCI learn from Monarch Park Collegiate?
It is great to see how a school who has so much diversity can come together when other countries are in need and fund 32 000 dollar to help out other countries. I think we can learn from this school that not to look at just how you can help yourself but how you can help others to make their life better. It also shows us that if a school that has so many differences and don’t normally come together as one can pull this off a school like ours who do so much together should be able to do what they did no problem. These students are inspirational especially the grade nine who brought it altogether. Everyone can make a difference if they want to!
#24 Safe Schools
I was on the trip. However even though I didn’t get to watch the play live because I was on a field trip I still watched it in class and think it was pretty good. Although it wasn’t as good as it probably would have been live because we couldn’t really hear it, it had a lot going on that was confusing. They should bullying, abusive relationship, and sexuality towards different genders it was a lot to grasp in that amount of time. It was hard to follow who was who and what was going on because they just moved chairs and didn’t really have a set. However it still probably got some peoples attention and did tell you what was right from wrong it just wasn’t their best play on bullying.
# 23 Think pink
I think that think pink day was a great success! Lot of people wore pink to stand up to anti-bullying. The t-shirt sales went really well they ran out, or else more of them would have been sold. I think that this day is a great way to stand up to this cause. Its crazy how just two high school boys started it and I hope it continues for a long time. This day is just one of the many ways of how we stop bullying and the little things we do are the building blocks to no bullying at all. Days like this make our school a better place and make us aware of the problems that go on around us!

#17 Creating awarness of We
Redefinition of Happiness
I think this is the easiest way to think We. That believing that what you have does not make up the person you are and we are all special in our own way. No matter what job your parents have, where you live, or how much money you have. We are not that much different everyone has similarities and everyone has differences it how you except other are how you will be able to think we and not me.

#21 Lions and tigers and zebras...oh my...
Zebra
These lesson show that one person is no match for a bunch of people. If you stick together then you will be more likely to achieve your goals then if you’re on your own. This is shown when the scientists put the spots on the zebra and the lions would pick out the ones with spots because they can distinguish between one zebra and another. But when all huddled in a group it is hard to tell where one zebra ends and another starts.

#20 Three more Me to We heros (kim)
Kim Story
I think Kim story is the most moving because she never gave up at the start not many people were interested in the idea to stop child labor. So she researched more and became more knowledgably on the subject. To get 6000 signature is a huge accomplishment and to get the media coverage to inform other about child labor I think she is just awesome for doing that.

#16 Back to the Book
Rain in Kenya
I think this is so funny that in North America when it rains people always run for cover but in Kenya where they do not have a lot of possessions. When it rains they celebrate and dance in the rain. I like how these people can get so much excitement from something as simple as rain. It just goes to show how we take a lot of what we have for granite and for the people in Kenya and Ecuador they are always happy and rejoice in something as simple as rain.

#13 the Roseto Mystery
I think that the people in this little town are unbelieveable. I think its crazy to see that there is no evidence of health problems, whether its hereditary or dietary. For me the main reason behind these people not having any health problems is they are happy and have little to no stress in their lives. The people of this town are clearly looking at life in a positive way and not negatively. Being negative can increase your stress and could lead to further damage or not doing things right. Having too much stress can lead you down the wrong path and not being able to get a positive outlook on life.
#22 Belonging
Other then family i would have to say the group that i feel most connected to is my volleyball team. This is because we are always together when the season is on. We got each others backs on and off the court. As well we know each others strengths and weaknesses and would be there for each other no matter what it was. I feel the most comfortable with this bunch of girls because we have grown such a bond that we aren't called a team but a bunch of sisters. Being apart of this group of girls has really shown me what its really like to belong no matter what your differences are. I will always carry on the advice i've gained from them and the relationships i've made. Another group that always has your back no matter what in my life is my group of girl friends. It seems like no matter where, time or problem you have they would be there in a heart beat. These two groups make me a stronger person and get me through the hard times.

#19 pay it forward
Overall i think it was a pretty good movie. It was pretty inspiring how a little boy had a vision and no matter what challenges were brought forward he still never gave up. Whether it was personnal challenges or problems with the people he was trying to help he never gave up. It was a great idea he had and the way he followed through and not only helped people he knew but helped people he had never even met before is a huge step. I believe that if we did something like that at our school that it would get passed on for a little bit. This movie has inspired us to not always think about ourselves and try and help others in the most ways possible.
#18 The blue and white overnight
A) Some ways we can get people to have fun and attend is by advertising it alot by making annoucements, as well we could do something where the first 50 people get something for buying their ticket first. Make lots of posters and advertise activities we are doing throughout the night.
B) A cake walk and the carnival games really went over well. Ice cream would be a big hit as well i think if we sold it. as well as energy drinks were a big hit last year. The raffles go over well and anything to through at the teachers.

#15 Blue and White Overnight
For the blue and white overnight i think we should have a kool-aid olympics. Where we are divided into different teams and participate in different drinking games. (with kool-aid or water)
Some games that would work for this kool-aid olympics would be juice pong, flip cup, a chugging contest with a boot, rid the bus, case race with juice, etc. I think this would be a great activity because everyone would be involved and working together. Besides who doesn't like a good drink of kool-aid.

#14 A spring clean up
I think a spring clean up is a great way to get involved in the community and help out others. It is a good way to give back to the community and help with me to we. I think that everyone should participate in this event and just go around the community and pick up garbage and other things. It also allows us to get alittle extra cash for our water project in sierra leone. I really think we should take this oppertunity on right away!

#12 inspiring Youtube video
A youtube video that inspired me was a video of Terry Fox run acrossed Canada. It really inspired me because even though he had cancer he still wanted to make a difference in other peoples lives by making them aware of cancer. he did this by running acrossed Canada. AS well throughout his journey he had some hard times but he never gave up on his goal. This really showed me that no matter how hard life may get you should never give up on your hopes and dreams.
# 11 Me to We Pg46
I was shocked that only 10% of the people stopped to help the man in need. I couldn't believe that they stepped over him thats just rude especially when they were going to give a lecture on the biblical parable of the good samaritan. It's not right that they were going to talk about it when they don't show what they are talking about is true. For that 10% that actually stopped and helped they should be the ones talking about it not the 90%. It just shows that some people when they have something on their minds they ignore the whole world around them and just think about themselves.
# 10 So this happiness thing
A) To me happiness is having friends and family by your side you don't need money, cars, electronics and toys to have happiness. Although they do bring people happiness that is not the true meaning behind happiness. A way to recongize it would be someone happy and smiling.
B) If i was given $500 right now i would probably spend it on some clothes, gifts for people and pay my phone bill.
C)If i was given $5000 right now i would probably spend a little but i would put the rest of it in my bank account and save it for school because that is going to cost alot.
D)If i was given $50000 right now i would put it away for school although i would spend alittle and maybe buy a cheap car but most of it would go to school or some to a charity.

# 9 the world value's survey
In a way the results of that survey suprised me but overall not truely. this is because even if they aren't the wealthest places in the world they are happy with what they got. They don't need electronics, sports, pools etc to make them happy as long as they have each other they are happy. i think that is a great way to live because it seems that we have become greedy with all the things that are handed to us and not looking at the other side. There are people who don't have what we have and we still complain. We really should be greatful for what we have and give others things they need share we should become one and all be happy together.
#8 Keith's story
After reading about Keith's story it amazed me of what he did. Even though he was not wealthy he still found a way to help others. Keith created a foundation that helped people in need. Although he had big dreams of his own he still considered to make a difference in other peoples lives. It really is inspiring how he realised that people giving him a couple dollars every now and then to help him out was a great thing and he thought he could do the same. As well he knew at the start he couldn't reach his big dream but he had the courage to never give up hope on the dreams you want. He really showed that even when you are broke or have nothing don't give up keep pushing yourself and help others. Keith really allowed me to think that no matter how far off or hard my dreams and hopes maybe never give up. As well even if its just a couple dollars here and there they can help someone in need.

#7 IDCI is....
To me IDCI is a great place to get involved in clubs, sports and open the door to so many oppertunites. It maybe in a small town and in a bad location however, its a great place to get an education. The classes, textbooks, computers etc might not be the greatest but we make do with what we have and have fun. Its great how we help others like Me to We and haiti. Overall its up to you whether you put forth the effort to get good grades and push yourself to do better. if you want to skip class and not study its your choice and your future teachers can only do so much for you. High school isn't as bad as people say, its were you experiece new things, meet new people, find yourself and make so many MEMORIES that will be with you forever. Enjoy high school well you can and make IDCI as great as you want it. Put in what you want to achieve yours goals but be smart doing it and have a little fun too:)
#6 Marc's Story
Marc's story as well is really inspirational, for him to give up all those job offers to help others who needed it the most is amazing. It's great to see that some people really do care about others and try to find a way to help. Knowing that he went to harvard he clearly was really smart and probably could of got any job he wanted but instead to go and help his brother with free the children and Me to We he really has a huge heart. It must of took alot of courage and strength to do this and i wish we all could be more like him and take a stand and do what we can to help each other!
#5 kim's story
After reading about kim's story and seeing that picture of her running down the road naked with her skin burnt, really is an emotional thing. Seeing what people did at the Vietnam war, is scary because they were hurting so many people and little children at that. Her story is very inspirational and she is definitly a great role model to look up to. It makes you want to think are we doing good when we are in other country we really need to stop and think because during that war its horrible to see that it was burning people clothes off their backs. however, its a miricle that kim survive that and its get to be able to listen to her story:)
#3 Craig's story
Craig Kielburger; One day while eating breakfast and reading the newspaper he came across an article about a boy who was assassinated for standing up for child labour, Craig didn't like this and he wanted to put an end to child labour. After reading about his story it really got me thinking how amazing his story is and how if it wasn't for him and Me to We people like us would not know about these kinds of things and organizations. He is a very motivating person who gets people to want to make a difference in the world and think of others too.

#4. thinking we...crazy clip..could you do it?
After watching the clip about the 14-year old girl who did the "power of half" i was shocked to see such a young girl doing an amazing thing. It was great to see how caring she was for others and putting her house up for sale and down sizing was unbelieveable. To be honest i don't think i would sell my house to help someone however, i would do something to help in the best possible way. I'm not saying i wouldn't help others i just would do it in a different way because i don't think my family would agree with me selling our house.

#2. Everything's amazing...nobody's happy
After watching that youtube clip, it really showed how people today take advantage of technology and not really look at the positive part of it. No matter how hard people try to make others lives better buy stepping up technology in life we seem to get greedy. For example back in the day when they didn't have all the things we have today they were thankful for what they had and used it to their very best. Now a days we complain if something breaks or our power goes out we can't watch tv or our plane gets delayed. its crazy of selfish we are. we can't just except what we have. we have to always be pushing the next big thing and spend our money on the hottest thing because you want it. instead of buying what you really need and not on what you want. The youtube video really made me stop and think about how people are today and i'm glad our school is taking on me to we because it is helping us as students in thinking of others and not just ourselves and sharing what we have.
#1 the great maple leaf handprint flag thing
During the making of the handprint flag our group worked well together. We all shared our ideas by listening to one another and when a good idea was said we used it. we worked hard and at a good pase to complete the task on time. We really didn't have leaders and followers it was more everyone was a leader by sharing ideas and working together to draw each others hands, cut them out and glue them on. During the process we complimented each other when someone came up with a good idea. As well although our flag looked pretty good with the materials given i feel if we had a little more materials and a bit more time we could of made an amazing and more creative flag. Like instead of just tracing regular hands we could of shaped our hands into symbols. Overall we were successful when working together on our creative handprint flag.
